Xenomorphs and Willem Dafoe Head to Hulu (Trailers)
Hulu has an invasion of Xenomorphs and a creepy Willem Dafoe heading to their platform soon with the TV series Alien: Earth and the movie The Man in My Basement.
Alien: Earth comes from Fargo/Legion creator Noah Hawley and sees the deadly Xenomorphs arriving on Earth for the first time in the franchise. Two years before the original Alien, a research vessel crash-lands on Earth. “Wendy”, the first human whose consciousness was transferred into a synthetic body, and a group of soldiers are sent to investigate. They find the ship contained several of the most deadly creatures in the universe, including the Xenomorphs, and they are now loose and on the hunt: Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav co-star. The series is set for eight episodes, and the first two arrive on FX/Hulu on August 12th.
The Man in My Basement is based on the novel by Walter Mosley and stars Willem Dafoe as a mysterious stranger, Anniston Bennet, who offers a lucrative proposition to Corey Hawkins’ Charles Blakely. Bennet will pay Blakely $1,000 a day to rent out his basement, but Blakely cannot tell anyone what is happening down there. Anna Diop and Tamara Lawrence co-star. The movie is directed by Nadia Latif, who also co-wrote the script. The film will be released in theaters and stream on Hulu, but a release date has not been announced yet.
