Channing Tatum is on the run in the upcoming crime biopic Roofman, hitting theaters in October. Tatum plays Jeffrey Manchester, a real-life criminal and former Army Reserve member who earned the nickname “Roofman” by robbing McDonald’s locations by entering via the roof. After being apprehended, he escaped prison and hid in a local Toys R Us location, emerging at night to steal kids’ snack food to eat and exercise by riding bikes around the store. Peter Dinklage, Kirsten Dunst, Juno Temple, and LaKeith Stanfield co-star in the film. Derek Cianfrance, whose last movie was The Light Between Oceans, directed and co-wrote the film.
