Following on the heels of the likes of Bob Odenkirk, Kevin James is the latest comedic actor looking to become a John Wick-style action star in the upcoming action movie Guns Up. James plays Ray Hayes, a prolific mob henchman who is looking to leave “The Family” for the good of his actual family. When his request is violently denied, Hayes has to use his skills to protect his family and take down the mobsters hunting them. Christina Ricci plays Hayes’ wife, Alice, who seemingly possesses her own set of unique skills: Luis Guzman, Joey Diaz, Melissa Leo, Timothy V. Murphy, and Solomon Hughes co-star. Edward Drake, who has directed numerous late-era Bruce Willis movies, including Cosmic Sin, Apex, and American Siege, is directing. The film is set to release on July 18th, and you can view the trailer below.
