The first season of Twisted Metal on Peacock was a surprisingly fun adaptation of the long-running video game series, but Season 2 looks to be a step up as the actual namesake tournament begins. Hosted by the devious Calypso (Anthony Carrigan), the winner of the Twisted Metal tournament gets one wish granted. John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) are looking to take down the corrupt system in place but they’ll need to survive the likes of Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa/Will Arnett), Mr. Grimm (Richard de Klerk), Raven (Patty Guggenheim) and Axel (Michael James Shaw). Along with many more characters from the game, it appears that season 2 will also incorporate additional elements of vehicular combat from the games, such as multicolored missiles and massive lightning attacks. Season 2 arrives on Peacock on July 31st, and you can check out the new trailer below.
