A renowned detective on vacation is interrupted by a shocking crime. Surrounded by wealthy passengers, secret tensions, and simmering jealousies, Hercule Poirot must unravel a tangled web of motives before the killer strikes again. Microids and Microids Studio Lyon have recently announced Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile, a stylish reimagining of the classic whodunit set against a vibrant 1970s backdrop of disco, cultural revolution, and colorful fashion.
Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile follows Hercule Poirot and Jane Royce, two detectives pursuing the investigation from different angles. Players will switch between the two protagonists, each uncovering new clues to the mystery. Poirot’s sharp logic and Royce’s keen intuition create a dynamic investigative experience, as players cross-examine testimonies, question suspects, and find a connection to reveal the truth.

Similar to Microids and Microids Studio Lyon’s previous adaptation, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, this game is reworked with fresh layers of intrigue and twists designed to surprise even the most die-hard fans of Agatha Christie. With a suspect pool where every person holds secrets and motives, no one is what they appear to be. Players must piece together detailed profiles through dialogue, observation, and investigation to uncover the truth. The adventure will take the players from the streets of New York, Mallorca, London, and Cairo. The two detectives cross paths in Abu Simbel, where they must join forces to untangle the web of secrets and deception.
Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile is set for release on September 25, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Fans in the UK can look forward to a Limited Edition release, complete with a 48-page artbook, a sleek collectible bookmark, and the game’s original soundtrack (digitally included).
