A group of elderly amateur sleuths gets caught up trying to solve a murder in the upcoming Netflix movie, The Thursday Murder Club.  Based on the book by Richard Osman, the titular club features Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie, whose hobby is trying to solve cold cases. When a fresh murder occurs, the group takes it upon themselves to try to solve it. David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Richard E. Grant, and Henry Lloyd-Hughes co-star. The movie was directed by the prolific Chris Columbus, who most recently directed The Christmas Chronicles 2 for Netflix, and has a back catalog that includes films like Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and more.  The Thursday Murder Club debuts on Netflix on August 28th, and you can check out the trailer below.
