Recent horror movies have put us in the perspective of a ghost and a masked killer, but October’s Good Boy is putting audiences in the POV of a dog. Indy, the dog of director Ben Leonberg, stars alongside Shane Jensen as Todd. Todd and Indy move to a rural farmhouse owned by Todd’s grandfather (Larry Fessenden), which is rumored to be haunted. Todd ignores the warnings, but Indy starts to sense that something isn’t right and must figure out how to protect his human from the dark forces threatening them. The movie debuted at SXSW this year and earned glowing reviews, especially for Indy, with reviewers saying it’s one of the best animal performances ever in a movie. Shudder has picked up the film, which will arrive in theaters on October 3rd and then stream on Shudder following its theatrical run. Check out the trailer below.
