The MCU gets gory at the end of this month when Marvel Zombies arrives on Disney+. A four-part animated event, the series is a continuation/spin-off from What If…?, specifically the “What If…Zombies?!” episode. A virus from the Quantum Realm is unleashed, turning most of the world’s population, including its Mightiest Heroes, into ravenous zombies. Only a small group of survivors remains, trying to save what’s left of the world and battle their former comrades. Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Hailee Steinfeld, Tessa Thompson, Dominique Thorne, and Iman Vellani are all back reprising their roles from the MCU. Todd Williams also co-stars as a version of Blade who has taken on the mantle of Moon Knight. Bryan Andrews is the showrunner of the event, while Zeb Wells serves as the head writer.
