For the third season of the Netflix anthology series Monster, Ryan Murphy is digging into the twisted story of serial killer Ed Gein, played by Charlie Hunnam. The inspiration for several horror franchises, including Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Silence of the Lambs, Gein dug up corpses from local cemeteries and fashioned their bones and skin into keepsakes and confessed to killing two women. However, he’s suspected of killing several more. Laurie Metcalf co-stars in the series as Gein’s mother, Augusta Gein, with Tom Hollander playing Alfred Hitchcock and Olivia Williams playing Alma Reville, Hitchcock’s wife and screenwriter. Addison Rae, Suzanna Son, Vicky Krieps, and Joey Pollari co-star. The new season will consist of eight episodes, all of which will be available on Netflix starting October 3rd.
