Chris Pratt has 90 minutes to prove he’s innocent of a murder in the upcoming thriller Mercy. Pratt is Detective Chris Raven, who finds himself in the AI-powered Mercy Capital Court, on trial for his wife’s murder. Under the watchful eye of AI Judge Maddox (Rebecca Ferguson), Raven has 90 minutes to try and prove his innocence and find his wife’s killer or face execution. All the evidence —camera footage, cell phone data, and more—is available for him to review. Annabelle Wallis, Kali Reis, Rafi Gavron, Chris Sullivan, Kenneth Choi, and Kylie Rogers co-star. Timur Bekmambetov directed the film, but he’s coming off what is widely considered one of the worst movies ever made, this year’s War of the Worlds starring Ice Cube, so hopefully this is an improvement.
