
The Game of Thrones franchise gets a new entry in January when A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms debuts on HBO/HBO Max. Based on the series of novellas by George R.R. Martin, Peter Claffey stars as Ser Duncan the Tall, aka Dunk, 100 years before Game of Thrones. A lowborn “hedge knight”, he’s a kind and honorable man in the harsh and vicious world of Westeros. Taking on “Egg” aka Prince Aegon Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) as his squire, the pair travels Westeros to help those in need and for Ser Duncan to prove he’s worthy of his knighthood: Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings, and Sam Spruell co-star. Martin co-created the series with Ira Parker. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms debuts on January 18th, and you can check out the trailer below.
