
We were at RetroGameCon this weekend in Syracuse, NY, but New York Comic Con was also happening in New York City. Marvel Television made the biggest impact with a panel that revealed trailers and new info on several upcoming shows, but there were also trailers and news from movies and TV shows. Check out what got revealed below.
News:
- Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-ManĀ will be back in Fall 2026 on Disney+. The new season will feature Venom and Gwen Stacy, along with a return appearance by Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Doctor Ocotopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion will also return, and Nico Minoru (Grace Song) will try to get a handle on her emerging magical powers.
- X-Men ’97Ā was renewed for a third season ahead of the debut of Season 2. Season 2 was announced for release in the summer next year.
- Daredevil: Born AgainĀ will return in March next year, and Krysten Ritter was officially confirmed to be returning as Jessica Jones. A trailer shown to the NYCC audience hasn’t been revealed to the public yet.
- VisionquestĀ will conclude the trilogy started with WandaVision and continuing withĀ Agatha All Along.Ā Ā Paul Bettany returns as White Vision, who came into being at the end ofĀ WandaVision. There was footage shown of him meeting human versions of previously known AI from the MCU, like James D’Arcy as Jarvis, Friday, and Edith. James Spader is also playing Ultron again and was seen in human form. The show will debut next year on Disney+.
- On the DC side, there is a Batman: KnightfallĀ multi-part animated movie coming from WB Animation. The first part will debut sometime next year and follows the comic storyline, in which Bane constructs an elaborate plot to push Batman to the brink, culminating in him breaking The Dark Knight’s back and leaving Batman crippled and in need of someone to take his place while he recovers.
- Mortal Kombat IIIĀ was revealed to be greenlit at theĀ Mortal Kombat IIĀ panel by screenwriter Jeremy Slater. Mortal Kombat IIĀ was moved from October 2025 to May 2026, as Warner Bros. had confidence based on test screenings and the first trailer reactions that it could be a potentially big summer blockbuster.
- Megan Fox is voicing Toy Chica inĀ Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,Ā revealed at the Blumhouse panel. Youtuber MatPat is voicing Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff is voicing Toy Freddie. The movie is out on December 5th this year.
