Glen Powell is on the run as the latest contestant on The Running Man in November. Based more on the original Stephen King novel than the classic 1987 Arnold movie, Powell is Ben Richards, a regular working-class guy desperate for cash to pay for his sick daughter’s medical care. With nowhere left to turn, he agrees to be a “Runner” on The Running Man, the top-rated game show on TV. If he can survive for 30 days on the run, he will win $1 billion, but there are professional assassins known as Hunters on his heels, and every person in the country is on the lookout for him. William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin co-starred, and Edgar Wright, coming off Last Night in Soho, co-wrote and directed the movie.
