Ryan Gosling heads into space to try and save a dying Earth in next year’s Project Hail Mary. Based on the book by The Martian author Andy Weir, Gosling plays Ryland Grace, who is recruited for a mission to travel to the Tau Ceti solar system to try and find a solution to save Earth and everyone on it. Waking up on his spaceship with no memory of how he got there, Grace has to piece together his mission and finds an unlikely ally in an alien engineer he dubs Rocky, who is on a similar mission to save his people. Sandra Hüller, Milana Vayntraub, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Liz Kingsman, Orion Lee, and James Ortiz co-star. Chris Lord and Phil Miller directed the film, while Drew Goddard, who wrote the film adaptation of The Martian for Ridley Scott, also wrote the screenplay for this Weir adaptation.
