While her cousin got the spotlight this past summer, Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock) takes center stage next summer in Supergirl. Looking to celebrate her 23rd birthday, Kara heads across the galaxy with her rambunctious pup Krypto but ends up joining a young girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley) on a mission to avenge the death of her father. Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa, playing intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo, co-star. David Corenswet will also make an appearance as Superman. Craig Gillespie, who most recently directed Dumb Money, is directing the film, which is based on the comic miniseries Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. Supergirl is in theaters on June 26th next summer, and you can check out the trailer below.
