It has been a year since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was initially released, but the journey into the Zone continues with new dangers and discoveries. GSC Game World has recently released free content for a brand new storyline quest, locations, and characters in the Stories Untold update. Check out the story trailer below to get a preview of what to explore in the Zone.
The latest content update introduces a brand new storyline centered on a mysterious signal interfering with communications near Malachite. Stalkers who encounter it report severe physical and psychological effects. As the transmission spreads across the Zone, players are drawn into a tense investigation that leads deeper into dangerous territory where reality itself begins to distort.
Along with a new quest, this update opens up new areas of the Zone, combining newly introduced locations with reworked spaces and new characters to meet. Players can push into unexplored regions such as the Fairy Tale Pioneer Camp and the Old Mine in the Red Forest. There is also a new weapon to carry, the GP37V2, a suppressor variant of the GP37 to keep things quiet when you need it.
This is a free update for all versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, so load up your digital backpack and good hunting, stalker.
