Get ready to master the art of ninjitsu as System 3 is bringing back one of the classic action-adventure franchises of the 8- and 16-bit era with the launch of The Last Ninja Collection + Bonus Games, now available on Steam.
This definitive package preserves the original experience by authentically emulating the Commodore 64, Amiga, and Spectrum versions, allowing players to revisit the series exactly as it was played during the golden age of home computing. The collection includes The Last Ninja, The Last Ninja 2, The Last Ninja 3, and Ninja Remix, alongside a trio of classic bonus titles: International Karate, IK+, and Bangkok Knights.
First released in 1987, The Last Ninja set a new standard for action-adventure games with its isometric exploration, puzzle-solving, combat, and atmospheric presentation. Its sequels built on that foundation, featuring more detailed visuals, acclaimed soundtracks, and increasingly ambitious design, with The Last Ninja 3 earning a perfect review score at the time of its release. The added karate-focused titles represent significant milestones in European game development, with International Karate becoming the first European game to top the U.S. C64 charts.
In addition to the Steam PC release, System 3 has confirmed physical collector’s editions are coming for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5, with a Switch digital release planned for Q1 2026. Xbox Series X|S will receive a digital-only version.
