Based on the video game The Exit 8, the Japanese horror film Exit 8 arrives in theaters in April. Starring Kazunari Ninomiya as “The Lost Man”, he finds himself trapped in an endlessly looping subway corridor. Needing to find Exit 8 in order to escape, he discovers a set of rules that he must follow to progress: If there is an anomaly, he must go back, and if there are no anomalies, he can go forward, with any mistake resetting his progress and putting him back at square one. He’s confronted by images from his past and horrific things like blood dripping from the ceiling and swarms of furless rats. The film was directed and co-written by Genki Kawamura, and it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival last year before opening in Japan in August. Neon acquired the film’s rights, and it will arrive in the US on April 10th. Check out the trailer below.
