Coming off Evil Dead Rise, Lee Cronin is putting his spin on a classic monster with The Mummy in April. In this modern reimagining, Jack Raynor plays a journalist whose daughter Katie disappears in the Egyptian desert. Eight years later, Katie is found alive, but something is horrifically wrong with her. Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Verónica Falcón co-star. Jasob Blum and James Wan produced the film via Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. It definitely looks like Cronin is bringing some of the nastiness he brought to Evil Dead Rise to The Mummy. Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is out on April 17th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
