Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is stepping into the shoes of John Creasy as Netflix turns Man on Fire into a TV series. Based on the novel by A. J. Quinnell and the sequel, The Perfect Kill, Abdul-Mateen II is a former special forces soldier who struggles with PTSD while trying to make a fresh start. Pulled back into mercenary work by his friend Paul Rayburn (Bobby Cannavale), Creasy finds himself protecting a young girl who survived a horrific attack that killed her family and taking out anyone who threatens her. Billie Boulet, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor co-star in the series. Kyle Killen, who previously created Lone Star, Awake, and Mind Games, is the show’s creator. Man on Fire debuts on April 30th, and you can check out the trailer below.
