One of the biggest cinematic events of the year, Christopher Nolan puts his epic spin on The Odyssey in July. Matt Damon is Odysseus, who is leading his men home after their victory in the Trojan War. The journey is long and treacherous as Odysseus and his men face mystical beasts, such as the Cyclops, and the whims of the gods. Back at home, Odysseus’s wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) has to fend off a group of suitors, led by Antinous (Robert Pattinson), who want to marry her and take the throne of Ithaca for themselves. Tom Holland, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth, and Jimmy Gonzales co-star. The film was shot entirely in 70mm IMAX and is Nolan’s biggest and most expensive film yet. The Odyssey is out on July 17th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
