This month for Musical Montage, it’s all about the holidays and to kick things off is a classic hip-hop Christmas song that should immediately make you think of the greatest Christmas movie of all time, Die Hard, and it’s fast talking, limousine driving sidekick, Argyle. On the way from the airport to Nakatomi Tower, John McClane is treated to some holiday cheer with the RUN-DMC song playing on the top of the line (for the late 80’s, early 90’s) limousine sound system. The actual music video for song finds the RUN-DMC gang having a close encounter with Santa and then what you normally do during this time: shop, visit family, etc.
