Jason Momoa is the Chief of War in August on Apple TV+ (Trailer)
There for the launch of AppleTV+ with See, Jason Momoa returns to the streaming platform in August for the historical epic miniseries, Chief of War. Momoa plays Ka’iana, a Native Hawaiian warrior and aliʻi (noble) during the 18th century when the four major kingdoms of Hawaii were at war. The series follows the battles and events that led to the unification and eventual colonization of Hawaii as seen from the perspective of the indigenous people. Luciane Buchanan, Temuera Morrison, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Moses Goods, Siua Ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, Te Kohe Tuhaka, and Benjamin Hoetjes co-star. Momoa created the series with Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, who shares native Hawaiian heritage, as does Momoa. The series will be nine episodes, debuting on August 1st on AppleTV+.
