Chris Evans is in a love triangle with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal this weekend in Materialists, but back in 2009, he was a “Mover” in the superpowered world of the movie Push, which you can watch in the latest Everything Action Theater. Directed by Patrick McGuigan, Push was set in a world where many individuals possess some form of psychic or superhuman ability, all of which are monitored by Divisions that strive to maintain control and order. Evans’ Nick can manipulate objects with his mind, and he reluctantly joins forces with a young girl named Cassie (Dakota Fanning), who can see into the future, and Kira (Camilla Belle), a “Pusher” who can read and manipulate minds. Kira was subject to a Division experiment to boost her powers drastically, but she escapes, making her the target of the Division’s own powerful Pusher, Henry Carver, played by Djimon Hounsou. The movie was a moderate hit in theaters, though the critical reception was not great. You can check out the entire movie thanks to the official Lionsgate Movies channel, which has recently made several of its library titles available for free on YouTube.
