After delivering the horror hit Barbarian back in 2022, Zach Cregger is back in August with Weapons. When 17 kids from the same classroom all disappear in the middle of the night, the entire town is left reeling about what happened and why. Josh Brolin plays the father of one of the kids who goes on his own investigation for answers while Julia Garner is the teacher whose class disappeared and Alden Ehrenreich is a local cop: Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan co-star. The movie sparked a massive bidding war with New Line Cinema getting the rights and Warner Bros. handling distribution. Jordan Peele fired his managers when his Monkeypaw Productions failed to acquire the rights. Weapons is out on August 8th and you can check out the new trailer below.
