The world of Spartacus returns to Starz this winter when House of Ashur debuts. A “What If?” scenario spun off from the Season 2 finale of the main series, House of Ashur is set in a timeline where Ashur (Nick Tarabay) is not killed on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius but instead helps the Romans crush Spartacus’ slave rebellion. For his assistance, he is gifted the ludus of Batiatus and begins to train his own stable of gladiators. Looking for something that will make a huge splash, Ashur introduces the first-ever female gladiator. Graham McTavish, Tenika Davis, Ivana Baquero, Jamaica Vaughan, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith, Cameron Rhodes, and Leigh Gill co-star. Steven S. DeKnight, who created the original series, is back as the showrunner for this sequel series.  Check out the trailer from SDCC below.
