Peacemaker finally returns to HBO Max in August when Season 2 of the DCU series kicks off. Set sometime after the events of Season 1, Chris Smith aka Peacemaker (John Cena) finds out that Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) is gunning for him due to Chris killing his son. Chris discovers a portal to another dimension, where he’s viewed as a hero, is in a happy relationship with Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), and his father is still alive, not a racist supervillain. Deciding to start a new life there, things quickly become complicated. Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, and Nhut Le return from season 1, while Tim Meadows, Sol Rodriguez, and Michael Rooker join the cast. Nathan Fillion and Isabela Merced reprise their roles as Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl from Superman, along with Sean Gunn, who was briefly seen as Maxwell Lord in Superman. James Gunn wrote every episode of Season 2 and directed three episodes for the season. Peacemaker Season 2 arrives on August 21st, and you can check out the new SDCC trailer below.
