The third entry in James Cameron’s epic Avatar series, Avatar: Fire and Ash, arrives in December. Picking up from the end of Avatar: The Way of Water, the Sully family is mourning the loss of one of their own, while some of them are hungry for revenge. While still at war with the humans of the RDA, led by the “recombinant” Miles Quarritch (Stephen Lang), a new threat emerges from the volcanic regions of Pandora, the fearsome Ash People, led by Varang (Oona Chaplin), who do not share the other Na’vi tribes connection to nature and are willing to use brutal tactics to ensure their survival. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, Matt Gerald, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Jemaine Clement, Britain Dalton, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo and Duane Evans, Jr. are all back from the previous entries with David Thewlis joining the cast as a new character, Peylak. James Cameron, of course, directed the movie, as well as co-writing and producing it. Avatar: Fire and Ash arrives in theaters on December 19th, and you can check out the trailer below.
