Skybound’s Invincible universe is about to leap off the comic and TV screen and land on your tabletop. Free League Publishing, the award-winning RPG publisher behind Blade Runner, Alien, and The One Ring, is teaming with Skybound Entertainment to launch Invincible – Superhero Roleplaying on Kickstarter September 23.
Based on the comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley (and the hit Prime Video animated adaptation), the game lets players forge their own superhero legends in the same world as Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, and the Guardians of the Globe.
When the campaign goes live at 9 AM EST / 6 AM PST, backers will be able to grab a Core Rulebook (in standard or Collector’s Edition) and a boxed Starter Set, with artwork from Walker and Ottley and graphic design by Johan Nohr (MÖRK BORG). A free Quickstart PDF will also be available to get fans rolling the dice right away.

Early backers who pledge for a physical reward within the first 48 hours will get an exclusive bonus cloth patch featuring the Viltrum Empire symbol. In addition, if stretch goals are met, Skybound will produce a limited run of Invincible #1 with a new variant cover by Todd Nauck and Matt Herms—an item only available through this Kickstarter.

The game is being designed by Adam Bradford (creator of D&D Beyond) and Tomas Härenstam (co-founder of Free League and designer on ALIEN and Blade Runner RPGs).
Free League has become one of the most successful publishers on Kickstarter, raising over $12 million across 36 campaigns, and they’re looking to continue that hot streak with Invincible.
