Based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden, dark secrets will be uncovered inĀ The HousemaidĀ in December. Sydney Sweeny plays Millie Calloway, who is looking to escape her troubled past by taking a job working as a live-in maid for the wealthy Winchester family. While seemingly perfect at first, Millie starts to discover clues that things are not right beneath the surface. Amanda Seyfried co-stars as Nina Winchester, and Brendan Sklenar is her husband, Andrew Winchester, with Michael Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, and Mark Grossman co-starring. Paul Feig directed the film, and it looks like a throwback to the ’90s domestic thrillers, like The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. The HousemaidĀ will be out on December 19th, and you can check out the trailer below.
