Released in 1992, Death Ring features some of the biggest names in action….’s family members, it’s one of the many spins on Richard Connell’s classic The Most Dangerous Game. Mike Norris, the son of Chuck Norris, plays Matt Collins, an ex-Green Beret whose win at a survivalist challenge brings him to the attention of millionaire and hunter Danton Vachs (Billy Drago). Vachs hosts a yearly hunt where he offers up his fellow hunter the chance to hunt a human being, and now Collins is the quarry. Vachs kidnaps Collins’ girlfriend, Lauren (Isabel Glasser), to force him to compete. Don Swayze, the brother of Patrick Swayze, and the late Chad McQueen, son of Steve McQueen, co-star. The movie was directed by R.J. Kizer, who also directed Hell Comes to Frogtown before moving into the sound department for massive blockbusters like Interstellar, Inception, Master and Commander, and Catch Me If You Can.
