If you’re jonesing for more Stranger Things after the final season ends, Netflix has you covered next year with the animated spin-off Stranger Things: Tales from ’85. Set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the show, the series takes place in the winter of 1985 as the Stranger Things crew confronts additional weirdness and creatures from The Upside Down. The Duffer Brothers are executive producing the series and Eric Robles, who created Fanboy & Chum Chum, is the showrunner and Flying Bark Productions, who worked on Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and What If…? are providing the animation. The Duffers said it’s inspired by 80s Saturday morning cartoons, but it also seems heavily influenced by Spider-Verse and the animation style that film introduced. There’s no release date yet, but you can watch the trailer/announcement below.
