Chuhai Labs has unveiled a fresh look at Wild Blue Skies, the newly renamed on-rails shooter from industry veteran Giles Goddard—best known for his work on Star Fox, 1080° Snowboarding, and Super Mario 64. The latest gameplay video highlights high-speed action as pilot Bowie Stray leads the Blue Bombers into a dangerous hurricane to battle the evil Grimclaw’s forces.
The footage showcases cinematic on-rails combat, environmental hazards, and fast-paced dogfights that recall 90s arcade shooters while incorporating modern visuals, smoother controls, and richer world design. Players will fly missions across varied landscapes, including deserts, frozen regions, and storm-ravaged coastlines, earning high scores, collectibles, and upgrades along the way. If you’re a fan of Star Fox 64, keep this one on your radar.
Wild Blue Skies is being developed by Chuhai Labs, the Kyoto-based studio built around innovation and retro-inspired design. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam and Xbox.
