Following the release of new 4K editions on digital and physical media this year, three of John Woo’s action classics will be released in theaters in 2026. Shout Factory!, Hong Kong Cinema Classics and GKids are partnering up to release Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow, and The Killer in 800 theaters nationwide, the widest North American release the movies have ever received. Each screening will be followed by a prerecorded interview segment with Woo, who will discuss the film in detail. Hard Boiled will kick things off with screenings on January 25th, 26th, and 28th, followed by A Better Tomorrow on March 1st, 2nd, and 4th, and then The Killer rounds things out on April 5th, 6th, and 8th. All screenings will begin at 7 PM local time. Tickets are on sale now, and you can check out a special promo video below.
