Teased at the end of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Yoshi arrives to join Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) in their latest adventure. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie finds Mario, Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), and Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) going on an intergalactic adventure to battle Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), who is looking to free his father, Bowser (Jack Black), from his imprisonment. The gang also meets Rosalina (Brie Larson), and the new trailer reveals that Birdo will appear as well. The movie seems to be pulling in elements from Super Mario Odyssey, Galaxy, Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3, including 3’s classic Frog Suit. Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic returned from the first movie to direct the sequel. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie arrives in theaters on April 1st, and you can check out the new trailer below.
