The King of Pop receives the biopic treatment in April when Michael comes to theaters. Played by his real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson, Michael follows Jackson from his childhood as he makes his debut as part of the Jackson 5, and then, when he breaks out on his own and shoots into the upper echelons of superstardom. Colman Domingo plays Michael’s father, Joe Jackson; Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, and Juliano Krue Valdi, who plays the young Michael, co-star. Antoine Fuqua directed the movie and Graham King, who produced Bohemian Rhapsody, produced. It definitely seems like it’s going to be a fairly typical musical biopic, but given Michael’s popularity to this day, it will likely be a monster hit. Michael is out on April 24th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
