If you’re still jonesing for more Stranger Things since the series wrapped up last year, Netflix has you covered in April when Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 debuts. An animated series taking place between seasons two and three of the main series, Tales from ’85 follows the gang in the winter of 1985 as new, bizarre creatures from the Upside Down invade Hawkins. None of the cast reprise their roles from the series; the main voice cast includes Brett Gipson, Luca Diaz, Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Braxton Quinney, Elisha Williams, Ben Plessala, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, and Jeremy Jordan. Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofolo and Lou Diamond Phillips will also voice characters on the series. The Duffer Brothers serve as the executive producers and the animation comes from Flying Bark Productions, who previously worked on What If?… and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur for Disney/Marvel. It definitely looks like it’s following in the footsteps of the Spider-Verse movies and TMNT: Mutant Mayhem for the animation style. Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 arrives on Netflix on April 23rd, and you can check out the trailer below.
