Making an appearance at the end of Superman last year, Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock), takes center stage in June with Supergirl.  Based on the comic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, Supergirl finds Kara adrift in the universe, hanging out in seedy bars and getting into brawls. When Krypto is attacked by the Brigands, led by Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts), Kara joins forces with a young girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley) to save Krypto and get revenge for Ruthye’s murdered family. Jason Momoa co-stars as fan-favorite intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo (the role he was born to play), and David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham play Kara’s parents. David Corenswet, as seen in the trailer, appears as Superman, and there’s always the chance for more surprises. Craig Gillespie directed the movie, and Ana Nogueira wrote the script.  Supergirl is out on June 26th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
