
It’s been almost 40 years since Masters of the Universe got a live-action adaptation but Amazon MGM is bringing He-Man, Skeletor and the rest to theaters in June. Nicholas Galitzine stars as “Adam Glenn” aka He-Man, the Prince of Eternia who was forced to leave his home planet as a child when the evil Skeletor (Jared Leto) devastated the planet in a civil war. Finally able to return home, Adam takes up the Power Sword and is able to transform into the formidable He-Man, leading allies like Teela (Camila Mendes) and Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba) in a battle to take back their planet. Alison Brie plays Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin is The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson is Fisto, James Purefoy is King Randor and Charlotte Riley is Queen Marlena Glenn. Travis Knight, who has experience with beloved 80s toylines after directing Bumblebee directs.  Masters of the Universe is out on June 5th and you can check out the new trailer below.
