The Deadites return in July, when the sixth movie in the franchise, Evil Dead Burn, hits theaters. Souheila Yacoub stars as Alice, who is mourning the death of her husband. Heading to her in-laws’ remote home, she discovers the Necronomicon, aka The Book of the Dead. Reading from its pages, the Evil is unleashed and possesses the family members one by one, turning them into demonic and bloodthirsty Deadites. Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey, and Greta Van Den Brink co-star. Sébastien Vaniček, who directed the 2023 horror film Infested, directed and co-wrote its screenplay. Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi, the minds behind the franchise, are executive producers on Burn.
