After two critically acclaimed movie adaptations, John D. MacDonald’s The Executioners is coming to TV with Cape Fear in June. Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson are married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden, who represent Max Cady (Javier Bardem) as public defenders. Cady is sent to prison for 17 years and, after his release, he seeks revenge on the Bowdens, who hid evidence that could have changed the verdict of the trial. CCH Pounder, Lily Collias, and Joe Anders co-star. The series was created by Nick Antosca, who previously created Channel Zero and Brand New Cherry Flavor, with Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, who directed the 1991 film version of Cape Fear, attached as executive producers. The series debuts on June 5th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
