One of Stephen King’s recurring villains is vampires, most notably in Salem’s Lot, but Miguel Ferrer finds himself up against a plane flying bloodsucker in 1997’s The Night Flier. Based on the King short story from Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Ferrer is tabloid reporter Richard Dees, who is investigating a series of murders occurring around various rural airfields. A pilot himself, Dees starts to follow the mysterious killer’s path. Julie Entwisle and Michael H. Moss co-starred in the movie. The Night Flier initially debuted on HBO as an original movie and then received a limited theatrical release. Ferrer previously appeared in The Stand miniseries, so he had prior experience with King’s material. You can check out the entire movie below via YouTube.
