Paying homage to both “Thriller” and From Dusk Till Dawn, Mammoth had a monster-filled music video for their song “The End”. Fronted by Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of Eddie Van Halen, the band started as a solo project in 2015 but became a full band in 2020. “The End” is the first single and title track off the band’s third album, which was released last Friday. “The End” peaked at #1 on the US Mainstream Rock charts when it dropped in May this year. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Greg Nicotero, the music video finds Mammoth taking a gig at a club after receiving a mysterious invitation, and they are chastised by none other than Danny Trejo when they arrive. Following a “snake dance”, the band takes the stage, but their rocking causes most of the attendees at the show to reveal their proper forms as various monsters, like werewolves, zombies, and vampires, who proceed to devour the few humans in attendance, and eventually, the band themselves. Valerie Bertinelli and Slash make cameo appearances in the video.
