Twisted Serial Killer Universe coming soon: Producer Jeff Miller, who was behind Popeye the Slayer Man, is heading up a “Twisted Serial Killer Universe” that will be low-budget spins on real-life serial killers. The first project is Jeffrey Dollmer, in which the spirit of Jeffrey Dahmer inhabits a doll and goes on a killing spree during a photoshoot. There is also Ted Bunny in development, which will presumably turn Ted Bundy into some kind of rabbit.

She escaped and was briefly seen in the Season 2 finale of Wednesday. Green previously starred in Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children for Burton.
Toby Wallace, starring in Assassin’s Creed Netflix series: Euphoria and The Bikeriders actor Toby Wallace will star in the upcoming live-action Netflix series based on Assassin’s Creed. The show doesn’t seem to be based on a particular game in the series. Wallace will be the co-lead, with his co-star yet to be cast. The last attempt to bring Assassin’s Creed to live-action was the poorly received 2016 movie starring Michael Fassbender.
Scarlett Johansson starring in new Exorcist movie: Scarlett Johansson will face demons in a new film set in The Exorcist universe from Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. Mike Flanagan is writing, directing, and producing the movie, which is set in the same universe as the original 1973 classic. It isn’t a sequel to The Exorcist: Believer, which was supposed to kick off a new trilogy of Exorcist movies, but underperformed, and the trilogy was scrapped.
Far Cry series in development at FX: After tackling Alien this year, Noah Hawley is putting his spin on another IP, Ubisoft’s Far Cry series, with a new live-action FX series. He will produce with Rob McElhenney, aka Rob Mac, who will also star in the series. The show will be an anthology series, like Hawley’s Fargo, with a new cast and setting each season. Plot details were not revealed, such as whether it will be based on any particular game in the series.
RIP Udo Kier: Character acting legend Udo Kier passed away earlier this week at age 81. Kier was known for his piercing eyes, German accent, and playing eccentric and/or villainous characters. He appeared in films like Blade, My Own Private Idaho, Barb Wire, End of Days, Dracula 2000, and Far Cry. His last on-screen appearance is in The Secret Agent, which just opened in limited release this weekend.
