Dude, Where’s My Car? came out 25 years ago today on December 15th, 1995, and the British rock band Grand Theft Audio had two songs on the soundtrack, including “Stoopid Ass.” Formed in 1998, the band released its first album, Blame Everyone, in October 2000, which included “Stoopid Ass” and “We Luv U”; both songs appeared in Dude, Where’s My Car? along with being the main singles for the album. Both songs appeared on the UK Top 100 singles chart. Grand Theft Audio made several other appearances on movie and video game soundtracks, including CSI and FIFA 2001, and contributed four songs to the Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec PAL/JP version. For “Stoopid Ass”, the band had a tie-in music video to Dude, Where’s My Car? where clips from the movie appear between extremely 2000s scenes, like a guy editing or mixing on three iMac computers.
