Last year’s reboot of the sword-and-sorcery cult classic Deathstalker arrived this past weekend on Shudder, allowing a new audience to experience the over-the-top 80s fantasy action and its metal soundtrack, including the movie’s title track. Slash, who also executive-produced the film, teamed up with friend Bear McCreary to update the theme song from Deathstalker II. Original composer Chuck Cirino, who is also friends with McCreary, joined the duo to compose the new version of the song, and McCreary’s brother Brendan McCreary sang lead vocals. Shudder released a music video for the song to accompany the movie’s streaming debut, featuring Slash and the McCreary brothers in the studio, along with clips from the movie. Check it out below.
