Musical Montage: Lana Del Rey “First Light”

The new James Bond game, 007 First Light, is out this week from IO Interactive, and it continues the Bond tradition of an opening theme song with “First Light by Lana Del Rey.  Del Rey previously submitted a song to the Bond movie franchise, “24,” as a potential theme for Spectre, but Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” was chosen instead, and it went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Song.  Bond composer David Arnold, who last worked on the franchise for Quantum of Solace, produced “First Light”.  The song is featured in the game with a full Bond-style title sequence featuring dancing women and stylish, symbolic imagery.  Check it out below, and you can check out the game when it arrives on 5/27 for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
